People ask us all the time, “Where do your dogs come from?” The answer is mostly from shelters, some people need to surrender their dogs and some come to us as strays. Rita came from a GAS STATION! One of Dogma’s co-directors found this cute little petite thing at a GAS STATION ON FLORIDA AVENUE! Needless to say, Rita jumped in her car at the first opportunity as if to say, “I AM BETTER THAN THIS!” Rita was adopted by Shasta Marra and her family and her life is now split between the cool, urban life of St. Pete walking by the Bay and a ranch in Plant City. And always… always… there is a toy within reach! Cheers to the Marra family for also recognizing that yes, Rita IS better than living at a gas station on Florida Avenue!
