Adopted! Adoptables

Adoption process:

1. Email foster home requesting an adoption application, info@dogmarescue.org

2. Fill out our ADOPTION APPLICATION and email back (please know that by filling this out you are not obligated, bound in any way, or guaranteed a dog)

3. Set a time to meet the dog

4. Verification of residence

5. If it seems like a match, place our foster dog in your forever home.

As part of the adoption process there is a vet reference conducted when applicants own other animals(dogs/cats). All existing animals of the applicant must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and have a history of heartworm prevention prescribed or purchased from their veterinarian. If you have any questions regarding this, please ask...we are happy to help.

Dogma Pet Rescue is comprised of all volunteers. We do our best at returning emails in a timely manor, but please understand that we have regular jobs and family obligations that demand our attention also. Sometimes "dog mail" comes last.

All donations help defray the cost of spay/neuters, vaccines, microchips, heartworm preventative, food, and any other veterinary service our foster dogs may need.

  • Colette: Wire-haired or long-haired Dachshund mix

This darling little girl-dog has stolen our hearts! Not only is she the cutest thing we have seen in a very long time, but she is sweet, loving and has an adorable personality! We love coming home to see her dance on two legs for us! From what we can tell, Colette was used for breeding and she isn't very comfortable outside of her home and around strange dogs. However, after a few days, she became very friendly and even playful with the other dogs in foster care! We don't think she is a very social dog... she may be more of a homebody, but this may change over time. Colette has only had 1 accident in the house (when she was new) and no accidents in her crate. Her house manners are excellent. She is very much enjoying torturing the house cat by barking her head off, but she is smart and stays well away from him since he is 3 times bigger than she is! Colette is about 2 years old and weighs 7 lbs, she is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested (neg) and is on heartworm and flea prevention. Colette's adoption donation is $250 and for more information on this sweet little snuggle-bunny, please email Amy@DogmaRescue.org.
